DEVICE MANAGEMENT

DEFAULT PLAYLIST

A default playlist can be called a backup.

If you have not assigned one or more devices to a playlist (generally or only temporarily), the content stored here will automatically run on the player.

​

We recommend creating a default playlist with generic content that has no specific reference (temporary promotion, etc.). An image film or a logo animation can be stored here as an example. 

CAMPAIGN PLAYLIST

With a campaign playlist you can create time-controlled promotions for the players in your network.

​

The scheduling allows you to have content played automatically depending on the time of day. You can determine the order of the content yourself using drag & drop. 

EXTENDED PLAYLIST

If you have several locations / stores etc., which  If you offer different services, you can assign the content in a targeted manner in a playlist and limit the display.

Example: You have 3 restaurants, but only one of them offers one

"Take Away" service on.

You can also assign content to locations within a store via the devices.

Example: The screen at the entrance should not play certain content, but the screen at the bar should.

LOCATION ATTRIBUTES

To use the extended functions in the creation of a playlist, you must first create location attributes in the administration and then assign them to the locations.

​

Location attributes can be stored in graphics so that they are more clearly visible on the location.

We recommend the file format .png or .jpg with a square size of approx. 100 x 100 pixels.

DEVICE LOCATIONS

If you should place your players / screens in different positions within a store, we recommend using the device locations. These are assigned to each player and can be selected as a content attribute in the extended use of a playlist.

Example: You have a screen at the entrance and a screen at the bar or till.

LOCATION ADMINISTRATION

All important information comes together on the dashboard of a location. Here you can assign location attributes, manage players / devices, define opening times, change the assigned user or view the evaluations of the face / mask detection.

W-LAN CHANGE

If you have a disinfectant dispenser without mask detection

the tablet is connected directly to your WiFi network.

For the first time connection to your network or the  

subsequent changes please follow these instructions.

​

Note: In the case of the dispenser with mask detection, the KI module and the tablet are connected to the supplied Teltonika router. Run here

please do not switch to WLAN, as both devices cannot communicate with each other without the same preset network!

CREATE NEW DEVICE / AUTHENTICATION

You manage the addition of a new device with our authentication process. Connect the new device to the internet and start the RK Digital Signage app.  

In 6 steps the device is online and plays your content!

USER SYSTEM AND ASSIGNMENT

In the user administration you have an overview of all users of your system. Here you can, for example, manage or change the individual site managers.

You can also assign the appropriate rights to use the system via user roles.

The adaptation of the recipient email address when using the Ruhrkraft QR code app for digital customer registration is also managed here.

INTEGRATION OF APPS IN PLAYLISTS

Dynamic content is managed in the Ruhrkraft system via apps. In the case of dynamic content, the relevant information is imported into the database for each device individually.

QR code app: The QR code app is used for the digital acquisition of customer data. An individual QR code is displayed on the device, which the guests scan with their smartphone (camera function - no app required). The guest then sends the necessary information directly to your email address using a form. To be on the safe side, the QR code is regenerated every 60 seconds and a maximum of 10 people can be checked in per scan.

You can integrate an individual logo per location. To do this, go to the location and click on "Edit location". At the bottom you can upload a logo as .jpg or .png.

The QR code app is available in 30 and 60 seconds.

Weather app: With the Ruhrkraft weather app, you can display the current weather on your devices. Based on your location information, the weather data is dynamically imported.
